Celebrate colorado day (august 1)
Colorado hits the big 1-5-0 on August 1, and Downtown Denver is throwing open its doors to mark the occasion. Expect free festivals, live music, food, and art popping up at venues across the city, check out where to join the celebration here.

Celebrate National Night Out (august 4)
A night dedicated to saying thank you, join us in honoring the Denver Police, Fire Department, RTD Transit Police, and every first responder who shows up for our community. Free to attend.

Beats on the creek (august 4 or 11)
Downtown's beloved outdoor concert series is back for another round at Coohills. Grab your spot along the bridge and settle in for a night of live music ($10 bridge entry fee applies).

Frank at the bank (august 7 or 21)
Old Blue Eyes lives on at this free tribute show, where a Frank impersonator brings swing-era classics and big-band favorites to life. Learn more.

basecamp exchange at market station (august 15)
Market Station transforms into a hub of creativity for BASECAMP Exchange, a day packed with film screenings, live music, food and drink, local vendors, and panel talks. Learn more here.

denver bazaar (august 15)
Shop local at historic Larimer Square as Denver BAZAAR sets up shop for another season. Mark your calendar, it returns every third Saturday through October.

visit 16 live (august 20 or 27)
A love letter to Denver's music scene, 16 LIVE brings Colorado DJs, artists, and dancers together for a night of friendly competition. Each show has its own theme, and the six-date series lights up Glenarm Plaza with dance battles, silent disco showdowns, and community dance instruction, all set beneath the "Quaking Gold" Skynets installation overhead.

enjoy a comedy show in downtown denver
Catch a laugh at Comedy Works Downtown, tucked into Larimer Square. Open since 1981, it's earned its reputation as one of the top comedy clubs in the country, drawing major touring acts year-round.

Look up, massive kinetic sculptures by artist Patrick Shearn and Poetic Kinetics are floating above the city in this free public art installation, on view through October 1, 2026. You can find them at Wynkoop Plaza, Skyline Park and Glenarm Plaza. Read more.
